When I designed this set, I was thinking about how kids actually play—climbing over things, crawling through, sliding down, then building it a different way five minutes later. So I kept the shapes simple and easy to move around. The warm orange and soft green came in later, just to make the whole set feel playful, natural, and easy to have around the house.

I designed this one with a first product launch in mind. I wanted to keep the structure simple, but still give it enough personality and play value to feel special. The watermelon colors make it easy to recognize, and the three pieces can be used in several different ways. For a brand just starting in soft play, it feels like an easy, approachable product to begin with.

I designed this set for a client who wanted one product to cover a few core soft play activities without making the set feel too complicated. The round piece works as a small ball pit, while the steps, rollers and climbing shapes give kids more ways to move and play. I kept the shapes simple and used soft pastel colors so the whole set feels easy to understand, easy to style, and approachable for brands starting in soft play.

What Modules Can Be Included in a Custom Soft Play Set?

A custom soft play set can include ramps, stairs, arch bridges, tunnels, balance stepping stones, cylinders and wedge blocks.

Modules can also be combined with a ball pit or play mat to create a complete indoor soft play collection. We recommend designing around key play actions such as climbing, sliding, crawling and balancing, rather than simply increasing the number of pieces, which can reduce stability and make storage more difficult.

Yes. Soft play module size, height, slope angle, weight and contact area can all be adjusted for different age groups.

Younger children generally need lower, wider and more stable modules, while older children can use greater height variation and more challenging structures. Product age labeling should match the actual tested configuration, so we confirm this during product development.

Foam specifications are selected according to the function of each soft play module rather than using one density across the entire set.

Climbing pieces require greater structural support than resting surfaces. Finished products are tested under typical child-use conditions, including stepping, pushing and jumping near the edges, to balance shape retention with impact cushioning.

Soft play modules can use a non-slip base layer, with slip performance evaluated separately on surfaces such as hardwood flooring and carpet.

For ramps and stacked configurations, we also evaluate the contact area between modules to reduce separation under load. Hook-and-loop connections are available when a more fixed arrangement is required.

Yes. Removable, machine-washable covers are available for custom soft play sets.

Zippers are positioned away from high-contact edges and play surfaces to reduce exposed hard points. For daycares, play centers and other high-frequency environments, we can also specify higher-abrasion fabrics and reinforced seam construction for repeated cleaning.

Soft play modules can be vacuum-compressed individually to reduce packaging volume and international freight costs.

After unpacking, the foam typically recovers its intended shape within a few hours at room temperature. Compression settings are determined separately for each module according to its foam density and thickness, rather than applying one compression standard across the entire soft play set.

Clear unboxing instructions can also be provided, including recommended recovery time and guidance for any slower-recovering pieces.
